Add StumbleUpon Button to your WordPress Blog
StumbleUpon is growing to be one the fastest social networks on the Internet. Getting Stumbled would mean that you could get tons and tons of traffic. Moreover, you could add lot of subscribers because people who stumbled to your Blog came there because they specified that they have an interest in a topic similar to your blog.
Adding a “Stumble this!” button on your posts allows your visitors to promote your site on StumbleUpon. The more thumbs up your article/blog receives, the more users will in turn stumble upon your site
How to Add a StumbleUpon Button to your WordPress Blog
Step # 1: Download this image and save it as icon_su.gif or anything else you like
Step # 2: Upload this image to your WordPress blog
Step # 3: Log into your WordPress Account. In your WordPress Admin Dashboard, go to Presentations then click on Theme Editor. Under your Theme editor edit single.php of your WordPress Theme
Step # 4: Find the line “Read the rest of this entry” or a similar line depending on your WordPress theme in your single.php file. Below it, add the code shown below

Step # 5: Save your single.php file. Done!

Where exactly do I upload the StumbleUpon icon image to? Which directory? Is it the same folder that the single.php file is in? Because nothing seems to work to get the icon to display.

This is a good idea. I actually used the ‘AddToAny’ plugin for wordpress then you get stumbleupon, facebook, and 10 other social bookmark sites from one small bar.
