What is Google Web History?

You know that great web site you saw online and now can’t find? With Web History, you can view and search across web pages you’ve visited in the past, including Google searches. Web History also provides interesting trends on your web activity, such as which sites you visit most frequently and what your top searches are. Finally, Web History helps deliver more personalized search results based on what you’ve searched for and which sites you’ve visited.

You can access Google Web History by visiting www.google.com/history.

How to access your Google Web History?

Once you signed up for Google Web History, you can access it from any computer. All you need to do is go to Google Web History, sign in and you are taken to your Web History page. You can also click on “Web History” from your Google Accounts page.

Privacy and Personalization

Edit your Google Account servicesIf you share a computer and don’t want others to see your web activity, it is HIGHLY recommended that you always sign out of your Google Account when you are done. Web History data is stored online on Google’s servers, so unless you are signed in, no one can view your account.

Also, whenever you create a Google account, you are automatically signed in to a number of services like Google Calendar, Google Spreadsheets, Google Alerts and also Google Web History. If you wish to remove Web History service, log into your Google Account, click on “My Account” link, then click on “Edit” next to “My Services”. Then select “Delete Web History“.

Web History Restrictions

1. Your web history activity is only recorded when you are signed into your Google Account.


2. Web History does not record the addresses of pages that begin with https://

3. You need to turn on PageRank so that Google Web History also records the sites you visit.
