Google Suggest now suggests Ads
When Google Suggest came out of Google labs and became the default option on Google.com, it bought many of the benefits by default to the masses. Google Suggest helped people to take advantage of the query suggesstion, where if you were unable to think of a good term to describe what you are trying to search for, Google suggest would revel relevant search terms in the search box automatically. It also displayed the more popular queries/keywords by showing the approximate number of results for that particular query.
Now, Google suggest is also suggesting ads. This comes after Google started showing ads on its popular Google Finance portal. Maybe signs of the current state of economy with Google trying to maximize as much real estate as possible

Hmm, I’m mixed about this. I love Google Suggest, it’s a fantastic tool when I don’t know how to spell something that I’m looking for! Or for knowing what other people are searching for of course which is quite handy when doing research for any websites.
I hope that if Google do start showing ads on all of their drop downs that they restrict it to one, or at a maximum two, adverts or it might make it more difficult to find what I want. Still, good on Google for trying something new, will be interesting to see where they go next.

I can’t believe we still have to type at this point. Doesn’t Google have enough info on us by now to simply know what we need or want 24/7.

I want to put up ads in my website. But Google Ads wasnt working fine. They cancelled my account when it got to some satisfactory amount. It was pure cheating. Can you suggest some good ad providers whom I can register with.

that’s surely just a matter of time!

Overall, the links seem like a good idea. In many cases, they might save people even more time to find what they want than having to wait (even though it’s a tiny time) for the search results page to load. I just hope that if the ads stay, they move to the bottom of the list.

Yea, it’s not really a bad solution. I don’t mind ‘em as long as they don’t show up on top of the real results.
Till then,

I jump to Alternativeto.net. I won’t claim it’s the best, but it gives you a starting point if you’re in need of something new b/c what you’re using just isn’t cutting it for you.
